SmartPeer

The questions you can't answer — but can route

Your clients ask you about money constantly: the pension they've never reviewed, the inheritance sitting in a low-interest account, the cover their family would need if their income stopped. These are regulated-advice conversations — you can't have them without a licence you don't hold, but you're the trusted professional they ask first.

SmartPeer routes each one to a vetted, regulated advice firm through a tracked, consented introduction. You never give advice; you simply make a better introduction than a name on a compliment slip — and your firm earns a disclosed share when the business completes.

What financial advice referrals cover

Pensions & retirement

Consolidation, contributions, drawdown and at-retirement decisions — the questions that surface at every life stage.

Investments & savings

Lump sums from a sale, an inheritance or accumulated cash that deserve a proper plan, not a bank-branch cross-sell.

Protection

Life cover, income protection and family protection — the most under-bought products in Britain, and the easiest to introduce.

Later-life & estate

Care-fee planning and inheritance-tax strategy, where financial advice and estate planning meet.

Why these referrals matter — to your client and your firm

  • Your client reaches a vetted, regulated adviser instead of guessing from a search engine
  • The introduction is consent-based — nobody contacts your client until they say yes, online
  • A disclosure letter is generated automatically for every referral, on your letterhead
  • You keep the relationship — SmartPeer never markets to your clients beyond the referral you initiate
  • Your firm earns a disclosed share of the introducer fee when the business completes
  • Ongoing income continues while your referred clients stay advised
How it works

Consent first, advice from the experts, commission to you

You make the introduction in about a minute. Your client receives a secure link and gives their consent online before anyone contacts them — no cold calls, ever. A vetted, regulated adviser takes it from there, and you watch each referral progress in your portal through to completion.

SmartPeer never gives financial advice itself — regulated advice comes only from the authorised firms in our network. Your role begins and ends with the introduction, which is exactly what keeps you the trusted professional and safely outside regulated advice.

Financial advice referrals — common questions

Am I giving financial advice by referring?

No. Introducing a client to a regulated firm is not regulated advice — you simply make the introduction and the authorised firm advises. SmartPeer's approved wording keeps you the right side of that line.

Who actually gives the advice?

Vetted, regulated advice firms in the SmartPeer network. SmartPeer never advises your client itself.

How is my client contacted?

Only after they consent online. They receive a secure link, confirm the services they're happy to be referred for, and can opt out entirely. Nobody is ever cold-called.

How and when do I get paid?

Your firm earns a disclosed share of the introducer fee when the business completes, shown on a commission statement that reconciles to the penny — plus ongoing income while the client stays advised.
